  • Renewal hikes nobody explains
  • Being ignored after the policy is sold
  • Jargon instead of straight answers

Contract requirements

Your certificate has to pass the GC’s review. We make sure it does.

The insurance exhibit in a sub agreement usually asks for more than a basic policy provides:

  • Additional insured status for the GC and owner, including completed operations (often on CG 20 10 / CG 20 37 forms or their equivalents)
  • Primary & non-contributory wording, so your policy pays before theirs
  • Waiver of subrogation on GL, workers’ comp, auto and umbrella
  • Per-project aggregate so one job can’t use up the limit for every other job
  • Minimum limits — commonly $1M per occurrence / $2M aggregate, plus an umbrella
  • Notice of cancellation to the certificate holder

Workers’ comp without the audit surprise

Most surprise audit bills come from three things: payroll landing in a higher-rated class code, payments to subs who couldn’t show their own workers’ comp certificate, and experience mod errors. We check your class codes and your mod worksheet, and help you keep sub certificates on file before the auditor asks.

Coverage

The lines Arizona contractors actually need.

Priced at minimum, standard and higher limits — with your contract requirements as the floor.

Liability

General liability

Ongoing and completed operations, with additional insured, primary & non-contributory, waiver of subrogation and per-project aggregate endorsements.

Workers’ comp

Workers’ compensation

Correct class codes, experience mod review, owner elections and audit preparation.

Auto

Commercial auto

Trucks, vans, trailers and hired & non-owned auto.

Equipment

Inland marine & tools

Contractors equipment and tools — owned, leased or rented, on site or in transit.

Property

Builders risk

Structures under construction and materials, valued at today’s costs.

Excess

Umbrella / excess

The additional limits larger GCs, owners and public agencies require.

Pollution

Contractors pollution

For excavation, septic, HVAC, mold, silica and fuel exposures excluded from most GL policies.

Professional

Professional liability

For design-build and delegated-design work, and for design professionals.

Bonds

License & contract bonds

License and contract bonds: tell us what you need (ROC license bond, bid, performance or payment bond) and we’ll check whether we can place it through our network. We can’t promise every bond, but we’ll give you a straight answer.

How it works

Honest timing, start to finish.

We’re an independent broker with access to many carriers through a national agency network. The review is free and there’s no obligation to switch.

  1. Send us what you haveUpload your dec pages or policies (GL, workers’ comp, auto, equipment, umbrella) or email them to [email protected]. Add your EMR worksheet and a sample contract’s insurance section if you have them.
  2. Written Cost & Risk report within 24 hours of receiving your documentsWe read every line: class codes, experience mod, limits against your contract requirements, endorsements, exclusions and gaps. This is the review — not carrier quotes.
  3. A 15-minute callWe walk you through what we found, in plain English. If nothing needs fixing, we tell you that — you keep the report either way.
  4. If you want options, we shop itWe market your account to multiple carriers in our network. Carrier quotes typically take 1–2 business days once underwriters have what they need (payroll by class, loss runs, vehicle and equipment lists).
FAQ

Contractor insurance questions.

Do you work with every ROC license type?
Yes. General and building (B, B-1, B-2, B-3, KB-1, KB-2), engineering (A, A-series, KA), and every specialty trade (C, R and CR classifications) — plus newly licensed contractors with no policy yet.
Is DANESURE part of the Registrar of Contractors?
No. DANESURE is an independent, licensed insurance broker that works with ROC-licensed contractors. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting for the Arizona Registrar of Contractors.
How long does the review take? What about quotes?
You get a written Cost & Risk report within 24 hours of us receiving your documents. That’s the review of what you have. If you want to shop, carrier quotes typically take 1–2 business days once underwriters have what they need.
What should I send?
Dec pages or full policies for GL, workers’ comp, auto, equipment and umbrella; your experience mod worksheet if you have one; and the insurance section of a typical contract. Loss runs help if you want us to shop.
Can you help with license and contract bonds?
We can take the inquiry and check whether it can be placed through our network. No promises — bonds are underwritten on your financials and experience — but you’ll get a straight answer.
Do you cover jobs outside Arizona?
Yes. DANESURE places coverage in all 50 states through a national agency network, so out-of-state work can be addressed on your program.
